could depend on the female family members for relief. Today, many
are no longer living in close proximity to family members; therefore,

What to expect
During
your first visit you should expect your doula to begin building a rapport
and professional relationship with you. She will access the needs
of the family and determine the best way to meet those needs. She
will immediately begin to serve the family in a professional capacity
while making herself familiar with the new working environment.
