Marquita
Evans, a Certified Postpartum Doula, is a highly motivated and energetic professional who loves
working with and helping new families. She has over 18 years of experience
working with children and adults, including supervising and supporting counseling
and mentoring programs. Through her work s a postpartum doula,
Marquita brings a sincere desire to help families of newborns by providing
household assistance, encouragement, and informational support.
Marquita is a Certified Postpartum Doula through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional
Association (CAPPA); she is also CPR and First Aid Certified for adults and infants.
As a
Nashville transplant, Marquita understands the sense of isolation felt by
those who have relocated to the area. She works with many couples who have
recently moved to Nashville, away from family and friends, leaving them
without the immediate help and support needed following the birth or
adoption of anew baby. Marquita believes that postpartum doulas
offer very welcomed assistance during this often stressful time.
In
2002. Marquita developed After Birth Care Doulas which provides emotional,
physical and educational support to new mothers and their families in
Davidson, Rutherford, and Williamson Counties. Services include (but
are not limited to) breastfeeding assistance, sibling care, light
housekeeping, simple meal preparation, and running errands. The abc
